Based on a high degree of preparedness, the nuclear triad is threatened by the coronavirus.

As the world struggles with the COVID-19 pandemic, nuclear weapons faded into the background in the minds of most people. But for the Global Strike Command (AFGSC), the Air Force unit that controls two of the three parts of America’s nuclear triad, their mission remains top priority. And this is an inexorable business.

Nuclear deterrence requires the highest degree of preparedness for pilots, maintenance crews and security services. Opponents who do not think the US can respond with conventional bombing or nuclear strikes can be encouraged to take aggressive action.

But in the turn of War of the Worlds, the most deadly weapon of mankind can be nullified by an organism that is not even visible. It depends on AFGSC to make sure this never happens.
